When the designers and producers of the Mc Donalds advert promoting the latest breakfast wrap wanted to have the ultimate in "Victorian”commuter riding to work.. they came to the expertise of Mr Phoebus.
This type of “ordinary” was the first to be called a bicycle (“two wheel”) and its shape led to the nickname Penny Farthing in the UK. They enjoyed great popularity in the 1880’s, at least by those that could afford them.
BBC Fiona Bruce rides a very Victorian Iconic Penny Farthing machine into the Antiques Roadshow on Sunday! Please don't miss the fabulous challenge, made just that little bit easier by Mr Phoebus. Here's how she did it! Feel free to share and like.
